Once, my mind had wandered,
Transgressing laws of rationality.
Yet what was the point?
I didn't need to think of you so hard.
The rule book was wide open.

Infinity had seemed to feel palatial at the time.
Impudence to reality had felt godly,
But I'm obviously only human.
It's not our place to feel or know.

Reproduce.
Die.
Purpose?
There.

The ebb of ignorance, hypothetical possibility.
Naive to the truth that you already know?
Go ahead and be blasphemous, there is no point.
Reproduce and die, do you need a reproof?
Still need to become docile to the fact?
Because that's all you need to know...
Those are the rules, thems the breaks.

Spirituality?
It drives us away.
Sexuality?
It keeps us coming back.

Infinity was something we wanted to expound.
A gratuitous life was what we loved.
Yet we're only human, (that's all...)
It's our place to pay in babies. (...we know.)
(We need to keep going.
Not keep guessing.)

Does it make us feel good?
We just got lucky.

Science sure is scroring all the points.
God just needs the slam dunk.

We shouldn't have placed our bets.
